I had the pleasure of reading an advanced copy of Linda Prather's stunning new novel Romantic Suspense novel Helena's Diary. Here's my review:
Writer Gabriella Carson is suffering from the loss of her beloved mother and caught up in romance that is the total opposite to those she writes about in her steamy romance novels. One day a parcel with a letter attached to it arrives from a lawyer in Madrid. Inside the parcel is her mother's diary and a locket.
Intrigued, Gabriella spends night after night reading about her mother's love affair with Armand that she forgets to open the letter which turns out to be a plea to visit Madrid as Armand is on his deathbed.
Eager to meet up with her mother's ex lover Gabriella drops everything and travels to Spain, only to be welcomed by a less than enthusiastic Antonio, who is Armand's son.
This story has everything, romantic tension, intrigue, drama, and a last wish that will turn Gabriella's world upside down.
